How to do IT: A series

One of the main focuses of this publication is to help explain some things in the world of Information Technology. For the most part the intent is to bring IT concepts into more relatable terms and go over some of the big items that are apart just about every Information Technology’s professional career. This is a work in progress and hopefully something that will allow people to come to for guidance and learning the practice of some of the things that you may have heard about.

For example we will probably go over some of the basics of the different roles that are in the IT world. Maybe we will discuss things that make working a helpdesk more efficient, or how virtualization works. Anyone who contributes to this publication will have ample experience in office of IT, either strictly in the tech world or working as an administrator for various companies and organizations out there.

As for me, I am someone who has been in IT for over ten years and done work in most different settings throughout that time. Right now I am currently working in a corporate environment as System Administrator. What I would like to do is feed information out there to the world and be a good base for different topics over general things within Information Technology.
