Learning and Communicating through Technology
The way we learn and communcate has been changing over time in lots of ways. Before we had technology learning and communicating was only done by either face to face or sending letters or assignments through the mail. Face to face talking and learning has diminished and this is definitely the best way to meet new people and learn. However, with technology we can learn and communicate in a much easier way. In my opinion face to face talking is the best way to do anything, but in our new and more advanced world there is a lot less of this. Face to face communcating should never be completed removed because it is and will always be the best way to communicate with others.
As a student, there has been a lot of changes in the way I learn and meet new people. For example, instead of working with people face to face we are now using websites such as google drive, and zoom a lot more than we have ever used in the past.(Gutierrez, K) Although this is not what I rather do this is the easiest way to collaborate with our classmates. There are so many educational apps that many students turn to, to learn more about the topic that is being taught. Other apps such as youtube have the potential to give students a lot more detailed information on what we are interested in learning about.
The shift to virtual learning and communicating has had a great effect on many companies some good some bad. Businesses such as movie stores and book stores have been severley hurt by the rise of technolgoy. There is no need to go to these places anymore because everything they have there can be accesssed online. These companies are not doing well becasue they failed to innovate. When the changes in the world happened they did not go along with the change. And if we do not go along with the changes we will fall behind as I metioned before.However, companies such as youtube and zoom have been on the rise because they are both the future of communication, learning, and our social lives. They saw that there was a change and they went along with and we now are some of the most successful businesses in todays world.
