開始與工坊的討論,原先的規劃是我這邊著重創新款式的開發,試著在傳統技法下揉入現代風格的設計,首先我們選定了ikat技法,一個原生至東南亞地區*的綁染技術(Ikat literally means “tie” and in the malay language it means “to bind”),做法是在上織布機織造前,先就紗線進行反覆的染色工作,藉由綁染方式做多樣色彩的運用,甚至藉此創造具圖騰效果的樣式設計。
