Niche.fm

1. The launch page is a little intimidating where all a site visitor sees is “Something Broke”. Is the site down for maintenance? Should I be reporting this error to someone? I would remove that link and add some sort of beach ball/progress indicator to show that the site is still loading. Better yet, make the site load snappier!
2. I had to look at the browser tab title to understand what Niche.fm does. Turns out it gives me playlists (music) curated by humans. My first change was to include “Playlists by humans” in the body of the site next to “Niche”. This gives a larger clicking area and explains why niche.fm exists.
3. My second change was to replace the # icon with a music icon to indicate that this site is about music. I get why you used # because you’re talking about lists but I feel the priority here should be music, not the playlists.
