When Grief Like a River

The struggle to move forward

Grief is a hard emotion to write about. Sometimes prose doesn’t capture what I’m feeling, so I wrote this. I think there is a song in here, somewhere.

When grief like a river,
Washes over my weary soul
My ragged breath stops
And I fall to my knees.
