Artis Turba V2.0 Update

The Artis Turba team is working nonstop to make the new V2.0 upgrade live, the current rate of data conversion and migration we estimate the upgrade to be completed on Wednesday 26 August 2020. We are aware of the effects of this continuous delay and apologize for the inconvenience caused. We assure our community all assets are safe and as always wanted to be transparent and
share the details.

Why the delay? To move forward Artis Turba made the decision to redo the complete platform in MEAN Stack, currently the team is working tirelessly on converting and migrating data from the current MySQL database to the new MongoDB used in MEAN Stack, the team encountered technical issues while converting the data and thus the unexpected delay.

What are we doing to mitigate the delay? When we became aware of the technical issue with the data conversion, we immediately contacted and employed MongoDB experts to assist with support and to ensure the issue is resolved as soon as possible.

Why MongoDB? The main benefit of MEAN Stack is the MongoDB database, unlike MySQL that represents data in tables and rows, MongoDB is a document-based, distributed database built for modern applications running in the cloud, it is faster, flexible and best for big data and would benefit
Artis Turba and its community in the long term. Thousands of companies like Google, ebay, Adobe and Coinbase use MongoDB to provide a better service to their communities.

Although this may be very technical, we wanted to share this information with our community and ensure every one of our commitment to successfully complete the upgrade. We also wanted to confirm that all assets are safe and believe the upgrade would be to the benefit of Artis Turba and its community.
