I sat down with Joseph Ney, partner and creative director at Reingold, a full-service strategic communications firm. Joseph and the Reingold team work with worthy causes to improve health, raise public awareness, change behavior, and inspire action. They believe their commitment to delivering meaningful, measurable results sets their firm apart as “a private sector firm with a public service soul.”

  1. What work does Reingold do with veterans?

We have worked directly with the VA since 2010. It’s been a great opportunity to reach veterans and let them know about resources and benefits they’ve earned, like housing and mental health counseling. We’ve been able to make the VA mission ours and connect veterans to resources, to each other, and to supporters through programs like “Make the Connection”.

2. What does Reingold value?

Our tagline is, “We’re on a mission. Yours.” We value the opportunity to collaborate with our clients and our partners, but we also value being able to bring something new to the table, to innovate, to be flexible, to be entrepreneurial. We tend to hire folks who have that mindset and give them the opportunity to achieve. So, we really value the the approach and the contributions of young, bright, talented people who want to figure out new ways to do things rather than just continuing with the way it’s always been done.

3. How has ArtLifting helped to make your values visible?

We have featured the artwork in highly visible areas, starting with our conference area on the ground floor. We are designing a signage and display system that appropriately highlights the challenge and the success that the artists have, and that has really been a perfect way to tie everything together. We selected artwork from veterans, from those who have overcome several different health conditions, including mental health conditions as well as physical disabilities, and challenges, and that really does represent our broad mission and with clients.

4. What impact will the art have on Reingold’s employees and workplace?

Our employees are our most important resource, so anything that helps them feel better about what they’re doing every day and helps them see the challenge and see the meaning is great. Art is a great way to aid in that. So, we love the products and the program!
