Artory and Winston Art Group are pleased to announce a transformative collaboration that will introduce a new generation of art buyers to established experts at no cost. For the first time, art buyers can receive the same access as experienced collectors to the vetting and appraisal services of Winston Art Group, one of the world’s most trusted appraisal and advisory firms, leveraging the cutting-edge technology of Artory, to instill a higher level of confidence in collecting. Today’s collectors deserve access to a digital home, where the most trusted information about their objects is securely registered and made immutable using blockchain technology, and endorsed by trusted partners, such as Winston Art Group. In establishing partnerships of this magnitude, Artory is committed to providing collectors with the confidence and peace of mind that the decisions they are making are based on the latest and most accurate information available.

As part of this partnership, collectors can now search Artory’s public Registry for artworks already in their collection or upload new works of art, and, at the same time, request certified registration of these works by Winston Art Group, free of charge. Once vetted, these artworks are recognized with an endorsement and digital signature from this respected and trusted appraisal firm. Each certified registration is cryptographically signed and stored on the blockchain, and each owner is provided a digital certificate they can use to prove ownership. Owners remain completely unknown to both Artory and the public and engage with Winston Art Group through Artory’s end-to-end encrypted messaging system. Registered artworks are added to the public Registry as endorsed and verified, making them stand out among millions of unverified artworks on the Art.

Artory believes in empowering collectors to confidentially register their artworks for digital signature by vetted institutions. Through a collaboration with Christie’s, Artory has registered art worth over $300 million and will soon announce collaborations with additional trusted art market players, enabling their clients to register their collections in the Artory Registry.

“Bringing on Winston Art Group as a long-term partner — a company which has established a well-respected reputation globally as an objective expert — underscores Artory’s deep commitment to being an industry leader in market transparency and providing collectors with the confidence to buy at every level of the market,” said Nanne Dekking, Founder and CEO of Artory.

“As the leading independent art appraisal and advisory firm, we are delighted to be an early-stage strategic alliance partner with Artory to assist our mutual clients with the registration of their artworks on this unique blockchain platform. As part of our collection management strategy, we recognize the confidence that an Artory registration brings to both established and emerging art collectors worldwide,” said Elizabeth von Habsburg, Managing Director of Winston Art Group.

By creating an immutable Registry with standardized certificates, Artory builds an additional layer of trust in the art market, benefiting the art market as a whole.
