Turn It Off

A Poem

Photo by Danny Lines on Unsplash

Damaged heart
escalated nightmare
shivering sheets
magnanimous condoms
world slicing
world slipping
floundering morale
upscaled vasectomy
trumpet blared
when TV goes on
training sparrows
reducing pigeons
and robins
declaring robins removed
from their security
council seat
annoying fucks
illicit eyeballs
monsters and saints
energy fully spent
stranded suitcases
ruined haircuts
the uptick in anxiety
ruptured sentences
