“018. Beneath the Starlight”

Across miles vast, beneath the stars’ glow,
Wind and Cloud on starlit paths do flow —
From Cloud, a smile sent free,
From Wind, returned a line of poetry.

In her heart, Cloud softly declares,
“I am borne of water, your smile ensnares.
It lets me dance, gives me poise,
Clothes me in the grace of poetic voice.”

Should there come a day when souls drift apart,
May the stars still shine, soothing the heart —
Hold no sadness in your sight,
Under the starry, endless night.

Aside:

When Wind returns a poem for a smile from Cloud, do stars not listen and keep their light? Do we not all seek a smile that anchors us?

《018. 星光下》

相隔千里,
风云各自踏着星光。
云送来一个微笑,
风还去一段诗行。

云在心里说,
我是属水的。
是你的微笑让我飘逸,
有了诗的气质。
