The mid teens came with mayhem splashes of grays, veilying my whitewashed innocence. My most adored bridesmaids niceness, kindness, grace had reached the banquet behind the schedule as that’s how it was going to be now on. The star studded wedding ring in my finger felt heavier than my heart, the adulthood i was about to get married to felt unfamiliar, the long lasting love affair of mine with childhood seemed dying out. My daddy’s daughter’s all the birthday polaroids hanging on the wall were made rushed to dwell in the albums. I broke into tears as the tears broke into the banquet. The kohl in my eyes ran down the gray gown blackening it and perilousing me, there i became the blackbride.
