TRIBUTE POETRY ON Medium

ARTS o’ MAGAZINE

--

These lipstick traces on her cigarette
And mascara over the lashes gettin too wet
For not the smoke but the tear splashes
Are the cause our car crashes
So here’s to the few more puffs as we never get high enough

All these accusations of hit and run
Her moist lips kisses marked on handgun
Sweeties and darlin’s down the road finding her insane
She couldn’t have stood herself either, was she so plain

She’s rushing and moving like venom in her veins
She’s too dark for this city, for herself to abstain
She’s eloping with future pinning the bomb
Throwing away the alarms, humming her songs

The entire patriarchy swearing at her in midway
Asking her to act like women, not so astray
She gets them irked all the time, she’s Lana Del Rey
