Description:

“Echoes of Persia” is a color-changing sculpture. Its distinction from typical sculptures lies in its ability to introduce the dimension of time into the artwork through changes in color. It has demonstrated that a color-changing sculpture can serve as a bridge connecting the modern with the ancient, the East with the West.

“Echoes of Persia” features a modern girl in deep thoughts. Her thoughts gently flow out along her hair, reaching back to a distant past, to former glories. This is revealed through a change in color.

The artwork has two color schemes. When the heating device inside the sculpture keeps the temperature below 25°C, the artwork is in the blueish grey of stones; when the heating device raises the temperature above 45°C, the artwork turns into the earthy white of pebbles. When the artwork is in blueish grey, there are no line patterns in the hair.
