At artspark, we started with a question: “what makes great art?”

In search of an answer, we turned to the Denver art scene. There we found a vibrant world inundated with galleries and artists, all of which had their own style, process, and voice. This wealth of different sources seemed almost too daunting to process and we weren’t the only ones that felt this way.

In fact, many people feel intimidated by the art world. Galleries can seem like exclusive clubs where admittance is reserved for the elite few, those who posses an extensive knowledge of art. But this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Art doesn’t require any prior knowledge or special training, all it requires is a curious mind, a beating heart, and a willingness to learn. Great art is never about some far away world. Instead, its about the human condition, a subject we are all familiar with. Once we understood this, we began to see the Denver scene for what it truly is: a treasure trove of under appreciated work

This is the mission of artspark: to share the art of this city with all those who seek to enjoy it.

At artspark, we are partnering with Denver’s greatest galleries in order to promote their artists like no one else can.

We create beautiful profiles that showcase galleries’ individual styles and personalities, making their collections more accessible than ever before.

We write articles about the events and artists that pique our curiosity and share them in the hopes of fostering a community of discussion and connection centered around these cultural institutions.

In short, we have a passion about art in Denver and we want to share it with anyone and everyone that wants to listen.

Artspark isn’t just a website. It’s an invitation to a wonderful and diverse world, one that you may not have even known exists.
