“Artube answers customers’ questions!”
Artube, the next-generation blockchain media project, held an official AMA with the cryptocurrency channel ‘Four Daughters Gaza’. In this AMA, there were questions about the Artube webtoon platform that will be released soon, the benefits of Artube that are currently being prepared, and the future roadmap.

Q1. First, I wish you success in the new-generation content platform, Artube Project. I saw that the webtoon platform will be released soon from your announcement. What differentiates this service from existing platforms, and what are the unique strengths of Artube, such as the diversification of content for inducing readers?
A. Currently, the webtoon market is gaining global popularity. However, it has received criticism for unfair contracts with creators and adult/clickbait viral marketing of imprudent publishing for platform inducement. Artube plans to improve these with ‘various benefits for content providers’ rights and reward maximization’, especially an ‘incentive pool’. Creators can earn more revenue the more active they engage in their work through the incentive pool. Readers can support the platform and receive rewards through various activities, such as participating in social media promotional events, webtoon translations, and marketing support.
Creators will be able to focus on maximizing their revenue through various methods provided by Artube and producing content in a stable environment. Readers will not only consume work but also earn additional revenue through activities on the platform. We anticipate that this system will allow the Artube platform to grow faster as creators and readers actively engage on the platform.
Q2. Artube is a digital media content platform that uses blockchain technology to improve the unfair structure of existing media platforms. I’m curious about the usage and inter-compatibility ratio of ATT coin and Art-Point.
A. First, ATT is a token that adheres to the Ethereum ERC-20 standard and connects the platform with the external ecosystem. When a creator switches Art-Points earned as revenue on the platform to ATT, a certain amount of fee is generated, and a portion of that is invested into the incentive pool for maintaining the Artube ecosystem. Artube uses this to provide differential rewards to participants according to their contribution levels, such as rewards for using the work, payment for providing a service, and activity incentive. ATT’s value will increase as the trading amount increases in proportion to the Artube platform’s growth. Art-Point is money used on the Artube platform. It can be used to pay through various payments, including cryptocurrency payments using ATT. Readers can use paid Art-Points for diverse consumption on the platform.
Q3. What is the reason for dividing the Artube ecosystem’s money into a dual structure of ATT and Art-Point? Does Artube plan to increase the scalability and accessibility of ATT Tokens using a cross-chain, such as Cosmos or Polkadot?
A. We created a dual structure of ATT and Art-Point because providing a proper revenue model for creators is difficult due to the significant fluctuation of cryptocurrency’s value. We aim to create a stable revenue structure with ATT leading the platform’s growth in the external cryptocurrency ecosystem and Art-Point acting as money within the internal ecosystem. We also plan to use a cross-chain. For example, if a cross-chain is applied, we can use cross-blockchain ecosystems. Artube is carefully considering swapping to a chain like Polkadot, Cosmos, or Klaytn to stabilize ERC-20-based ATT’s fee value and usage scalability in the future.
Q4. What does the Artube organization consider as the unfairness of existing media platforms?
A. We believe that most of the creators’ revenue should go to the creators. However, in the current webtoon industry, unfair contracts between platforms and creators are the biggest problem. We thought a lot about how to improve this and decided that the ‘transparency’ of blockchain is the best method. On the Artube platform, creators can transparently check all their revenue on the blockchain and know their value and rights at a glance. In particular, we plan to ensure that anyone can easily understand and use the platform even if they are not familiar with blockchain.
Q5. For paid webtoon sales, the settlement amount for creators is set according to the contract with the platform. Does Artube have fees, and if so, how much is it?
A. The contract method will differ by the creator, but Artube aims to apply fee rates and benefits differently based on the creator’s grade. For example, you can think of it as AfreecaTV’s ‘Partner BJ’ and ‘Best BJ’, which provide fee rates and benefits depending on the creator’s grade from their activities on the platform. In addition, as mentioned earlier, Artube plans to apply various methods to maximize creator’s revenue besides settlements, such as direct sponsorship of creators and an open marketplace.
Q6. It says that the content provided to the platform by creators contracted with Artube will be sold the same way as renting. Does this mean that we won’t see the content of creators with expired contracts again?
A. Basically, the content provided by Artube can be seen as rental and possession. For rentals, you can only see the content within a certain period, and once the period ends, you will no longer see it. Therefore, you won’t see the content of creators with expired contracts.
Q7–1. I saw on the Q4 Roadmap that Artube plans to run a program supporting new creators. How will this operate?
A. The program supporting new creators is similar to contests on large platforms. We plan to create a space where creators can easily upload their work and help them easily understand the Artube platform system that may feel challenging.
Q7.2. Do you plan to execute Artube incineration plan quarterly?
A. ATT has an incineration policy as one of the methods of maintaining its value. Artube will allocate a portion of the revenue into the ‘ATT buyback fund’ in case the incentive pool gets depleted. The allocated buyback fund will be on standby for a certain period, and if there’s no problem with the incentive pool, the amount will be incinerated.
Q8. What is Artube’s roadmap going forward? Please share your goals and vision.
A. You will first meet the Artube webtoon platform. It will be happening very soon. In addition, we plan to continuously add features to evaluate the service for creators and readers. We will diversify the payment system using MetaMask aside from existing payments and be the gateway for new creators through our support program and Artube challenges. In the first half of next year, we plan to expand the incentive reward system further and increase the revenue model for creators by adding an open marketplace.
Artube aims to provide readers with many works to consume by securing diverse works through maximizing content provider’s rights and rewards. Based on this, we will create a ‘seamless media platform’ where all content can be shared naturally within Artube, starting with webtoons. We hope you will join Artube’s journey.
