With the arrival of the conference finals, the NFL gets even more exciting. Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers face the final of the NFC while the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers duel for the AFC. Here are the analyzes and predictions of the matchups.

Atlanta Falcons x Green Bay Packers — Sunday — Georgia Dome

The Falcons and their insane attack receive the Packers for a game of offensive attacks. As both teams are very offensive, what is most expected is the shootout between Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan. However, Green Bay’s defense was the second most-yielding yards in the regular season standing at a level similar to that of the Falcons who had the fifth highest mark. With that in view, we will have a game of many points.

Defense x running attack

Another balanced point of this confrontation is the relationship of defenses and attacks, when it comes to races. Green Bay had the eighth-highest mark against the running game while Atlanta had the fifth-highest-scoring yard with the ball. Atlanta had the seventeenth mark against the running game and the Packers had the twentieth mark in running yards with the ball.

Prediction

The promise is an exciting game and perhaps the best thing is not to cling fully to the numbers. The Packers have a more experienced team and will probably have names that were not in the last confrontation against Atlanta like: Clay Mathews, Jared Cook, Ty Montgomery, Randall Cobb and Damarious Randall. These names should harden the showdown and give aid to Aaron Rodgers and his holy hand against a mighty Atlanta Falcons.

New England Patriots x Pittsburgh Steelers — Sunday — Gillete Stadium

The Patriots are heading for their sixth consecutive AFC final while the Steelers since trio Antonio Brown, Big Ben and Le’veon Bell have averaged 25.9 points since week 11. The Patriots’ defense is also not silly and Receives only (on average) 15.6 points per game.

To surpass the Patriots’ third-highest point game score per game (27.6), the Steelers will use and abuse their defense game primarily through linebackers Ryan Shazier and Lawrence Thomas.

Despite the Patriots’ win in the first meeting of the two teams this season, this is a matchup that New England does not like very much. His last defeat in the conference finals did not please much New England. Teams with the same Pittsburgh biotype (explosive attacks and physical defenses) caused problems for the Foxboro team. Just like the Broncos twice and the Baltimore Ravens. However, Pittsburgh’s defense still needs to evolve somewhat and Big Ben can not commit turnovers for the Steelers to win this battle.

Predictions

Packers for 4 pontos
New England for 7 pontos
