TechVelopment — Fintech and Regtech in Africa
Both Morten Nielsen and Jack Nikogosian from ARYZE spoke on the topic of Digital Cash and financial inclusion as it relates to economic growth in Africa on April 30th, 2019.
Fintech and Regtech innovation for Africa was a one day conference on how African economies are undergoing a digital revolution and how both Financial technology and Regulatory technology trends offer opportunities. Morten Nielsen, ARYZE CFO, spoke on how Digital Cash can open revenue streams for the African market on both a national and community level.
The event was an excellent opportunity for Nordic regulators and startups to become aligned on the possibilities that the African market presents, as well as challenges that innovative Scandinavian firms can solve.
Later in the evening, the event moved to Copenhagen Fintech Lab, where the setting shifted to a roundtable discussion where startups met with regulators to discuss practical applications of new technology in emerging markets.
Notably, the governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, Patrick Njoroge, was present to elaborate on the challenges they faced and how Nordic fintechs, like ARYZE and HiveOnline, could present solutions to projects that were considered for the Kenyan market.
