Writing when you feel a lot but can’t share

Lately, I have been feeling many things that I cannot share. Some things are better left shared in my journal and whispered to God in hushed tones. As a result, I haven’t been writing as much, making me feel idle.

However, these are some things I have been doing to keep my creative juices flowing even though I don’t feel as free in my writing as I used to:

Keeping a record of the now

Many writers do this by sharing vulnerable things about themselves to help others who are going through the same thing. However, I suspect that the things they share are what they have been able to overcome. I am sure that when they went through those things they were able to keep a record of it and it helped them in some way to get through those tough times. I am doing the same now. Sometimes leaving an encouraging video to myself to watch later on has helped me. In addition, there are some of these things I may just never share because it's not everything the world needs to know.

Journalling

This is something I have been doing anyway but journalling these days has helped me so much. It helps me understand and decode what's going on in my head. I also use it to regulate my thoughts and to…
