I Love You Through The Seasons
Our love is gold, when spring flowers bloom, like yellow petals on the broom,
When thunder rolls, our love remains, a refuge from the singing rains.
In summertime, our love doth please, like lilacs floating in the breeze,
And Venus lends to us her dove, a symbol of enduring love.
When autumn leaves turn red and fall, our love’s a silver waterfall,
Shining like the harvest moon. I’m the whale — you’re the harpoon.
In wintertime, our love is warm, in soul and heart, through snow and storm,
When the gelid wind bites like a viper, it feeds our love with coals of desire.
When skies are blue, our love is blessed, rising from our gentle bed,
Two people waking with the sun, together still, when day is done.
From Christ’s Mass Day to Christmas Eve, our solemn promises we trove,
Season to season, I’ll love you dear, every glorious, marvellous day of each year.
