Creepshow episode review — 1.6b — By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain

I’m never going to complain too much about an episode that features a Loch Ness-type monster, but really this segment needed more story. It’s kind of a domestic drama with an asshole stepdad taken to the extreme. And then some kids find a monster. And that’s kind of it. Not much to it.

The monster itself looks okay. It seems almost to be intentionally dated, as it really reminds me of something you would see in the ’80s.

It’s not really bad, but the characters aren’t properly developed, and there isn’t a lot of story.
