Movie Review: Action U.S.A. (1989)

Action U.S.A. is one of the dumbest movies ever made, and I actually don’t mean that as a bad thing. While some of the stupidity is rather insulting (having no idea how to write a female character in an action movie), the movie basically does nothing but deliver on good dumb action setpieces.

There are plenty of fantastic stunts and huge explosions. There’s not much craft to the filmmaking, but it’s still impressive when you see what they were able to do.

Also I’m pretty new to Blu-Ray, and I bought this in that format when I was at a used video store. It looked amazing, and thankfully the previous owner didn’t even keep the poster, so you know I’ll be putting that on a wall sometime soon.
