Movie Review: Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Endgame is definitely well made, and it’s a movie that manages to be pretty different for much of the runtime. The ending, however, is a giant disaster, with very little making sense.

The narrative isn’t particularly cohesive, and that does make for it being rather unpredictable. But it also means a lot of the emotional beats this movie aims for don’t really work.

As usual, some of the humor works pretty well, and some of it works very poorly. I think the biggest missed opportunity this movie had was to not really show us the world following Thanos’s snap. We see very little of it, really the only glimpse of anything not involving the Avengers comes when we follow Ant-Man into this memorial thing.

Anyways, it’s pretty good, but definitely not great.

Rating: 6/10
