Movie Review: Braindead (1992)

Given this movie’s reputation for being incredibly gory, I was surprised at how restrained it is at the start. I was also surprised that the plot was as strong as it is.

I mean there isn’t that much of a plot, but it’s enough for this zombie slapstick comedy, I suppose.

This movie’s incredibly enjoyable as long as you don’t mind gore. Because there is a lot.

There are a lot of really funny things going on, and I’d argue that the comedic nature of the film and its silly tone make some things that would otherwise be far too extreme, much more bearable. You still need to be okay with this kind of movie, and I get that not everyone is. But if you like Evil Dead II and want to see it more Kiwi and more gory, then here you go.
