Movie Review: Cold Hell (2017)

This movie felt like a lot of things. There’s a little bit of Peeping Tom, a little bit of Taxi Driver, a little bit of Blue Steel. And yet it’s very compelling as a whole.

Violetta Schurawlow is fantastic as a taxi driving Turkish immigrant who witnesses serial killings and cannot get police to believe her, partially due to her status as immigrant.

She has such expressive eyes, and you feel so much tension just from her performance. The filmmaking is also quite good as well. There’s a really great scene where she’s struggling with the murderer in a car, and it kind of feels like a Bourne movie in its execution. It’s fantastic, and so incredibly exciting.
