Movie Review: Dead Heat (1988)

Dead Heat really fails as both a horror film and a comedy. The cast of Treat Williams, Joe Piscopo, Darren McGavin, Lindsay Frost, and Vincent Price is relatively appealing, but the humour is bad. The jokes don’t work.

What this movie does succeed in is some of the makeup effects. It’s gooey and gory, and some of that stuff is fun.

But it doesn’t make up for the overall movie. It’s a mess of a script that feels like it’s missing several scenes.
