Movie Review: Deathstalker II (1987)

Deathstalker II is infinitely more enjoyable than the first Deathstalker, though it’s still far from good. John Terlesky plays the titular hero like someone who has been sent back in time to the middle ages, having no idea what he’s doing. It’s almost like an Army of Darkness type performance.

In contrast, Penthouse model Monique Gabrielle, plays the role of Reena the Seer much more genuinely, but she happens to be terrible.

It’s a really enjoyably bad performance, and it’s one of the highlights of the movie. She and Terlensky have no chemistry, and that just makes it more endearing.
