Movie Review: Demonic Toys (1992)

Where to begin with Demonic Toys, the direct-to-video schlock classic? It’s the poor man’s Puppet Master and that really wasn’t a great movie to begin with (though I did like it well enough).

This movie wants to be Puppet Master so badly. And it wants to be Child’s Play. And it fails at all of it.

The design of the toys themselves is respectable — some solid work by John Carl Buechler.

The puppetry isn’t too great, though. You’ll see puppeteers’ arms here and there. It’s just not very good. The entire thing seems so rushed.
