Movie Review: Disco Godfather (1979)

--

Disco Godfather is a magical film, another classic so-bad-it’s-good effort from star and producer Rudy Ray Moore.

It’s sort of a disco blaxploitation kung fu drug movie, and it’s as weird and silly as you’d expect.

The plot concerns Rudy Ray Moore going after all the angel dust dealers and distributors in his neighborhood. This is what I really like about these Rudy Ray Moore movies. They’re terrible and they’re sleazy, but they manage to attempt to have positive messages. It’s just a weird contrast that makes things enjoyable.

Other than Moore’s always charming performance, the highlight is certainly the inept action. It has to be seen to be believed.
