Movie Review: Dog Eat Dog! (1964)

This German-Italian-Liechtensteinian(?) production really isn’t worth watching unless you like black and white crime movies where characters say “daddy-o.” Or if you appreciate Jayne Mansfield, who’s absolutely gorgeous in what she considered to be her best role.

If you’re a Cameron Mitchell enthusiast, I’m assuming you enjoy his more piss-drunk performances, and this isn’t that. This is back when Cameron Mitchell had a future to be optimistic about, a reason to give a shit while acting. So that’s disappointing.

What’s also disappointing is the story is never really engaging, and the style isn’t anything special. There are touches of film noir here and there, but the movie never goes all the way.
