Movie Review: Female Jungle (1955)

Jayne Mansfield is fucking awesome. Even in her first film where she doesn’t have a whole lot of screentime, the incredibly sexy Mansfield leaves a lasting impression.

Unfortunately, she’s really the only thing that sticks out about this gritty film noir. It’s a pretty dull movie. As fun as it is to see Laurence Tierney play a drunk, the movie just isn’t particularly entertaining.

But it is kind of interesting as this little time capsule into ’50s crime films. You know, the types of movies where you hear the word “daddy-o” a few times.
