Movie Review: Fist of Fury (1972)
Bruce Lee takes on the Japanese in a revenge mission over his dead teacher. Usually the plot doesn’t matter too much in these Bruce Lee or martial arts movies, but this movie actually has a pretty good one. There’s actually some interesting historical detail, as the movie’s set in 1910 Shanghai.
But obviously you’re here for the fight scenes, and Bruce Lee just does not miss.
This has some of the best choreographed fight scenes I’ve seen in quite some time, with the highlight being when Bruce takes on a school of dozens of karate students simultaneously. It’s amazing stuff, and his performance is able to make some of the more dramatic moments of the movie work as well.
