Movie Review: Forbidden World (1982)

Forbidden World is alright. It’s sort of an Alien ripoff that occasionally leans too heavily on the science fiction. I don’t want to see lasers; I want to see monsters ripping people apart. And we do get some of that.

From a production standpoint, the film looks pretty good, even though, since it’s a Roger Corman film, I’m sure it was cheap to make.

The highlights are definitely the monster scenes. There are some fun deaths here, though I wish there was a bit more of it. The movie isn’t dumb enough to be guilty pleasure fun, but at the same time, it think it’s a smarter movie than it is.
