Movie Review: Foreign Correspondent (1940)

Foreign Correspondent is a wonderful movie. It’s Hitchcock’s second American film, and it’s definitely one of the best of his early Hollywood days. It has an engaging plot, a talented cast, and one really spectacular sequence.

The plane crash scene is one of Hitchcock’s best scenes ever, really. I’d put it right up there with the Shower Scene from Psycho and the cropduster from North by Northwest.

While that’s the highlight of the movie, the rest of the film still has a lot to offer, with its fast pace and two-hour run-time.

Rating: 9/10
