Movie Review: Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989)

This is a fairly underrated entry in the series. It captures the craziness of the ’70s movies, while not including anything quite as strange as alien apes that reveal their true form when they’re dying.

Instead we’ve got this weird giant plant/crocodile hybrid thing that has the soul of a dead girl inside it.

Biollante truly has a great design, and his tentacle mouth things enable for there to be horror on a small scale, as it attacks individual people rather than just miniature cities.

The fight with Godzilla isn’t the most memorable in the series, but it’s still a fun movie overall.
