Movie Review: Grand Piano (2014)

Grand Piano is basically Speed with a piano, written by Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle (Whiplash, La La Land). Despite a simple premise, it’s expertly handled. It’s quite cleverly written, though unrealistic, and it’s definitely expertly shot, with some stunning cinematography and very clever editing.

The ending isn’t quite as thrilling as everything else leading up to it, but it almost seems like that’s a bit by design. It’s still very entertaining throughout, and Elijah Wood does excellent work.
