Movie Review: Hollow Man (2000)

We’ve gotten the Invisible Man for the 21st century. This isn’t it. This is a more traditional remake, telling the same general story of a scientist who goes crazy after turning himself invisible, but there is a lot different in the beginning.

I like a lot of the character stuff early on, with Kevin Bacon doing a fine job as cocky scientist Sebastian Caine.

I don’t care much for the other character stuff, as it’s all pretty cliched and unspectacular.

The effects are a mixed bag. Some of the stuff looks great (like the opening scene), but some of it not so much.

The effects pull you out of the movie on a few occasions, but the storytelling really isn’t too great, either.
