Movie Review: Lone Wolf McQuade (1983)
We are now a couple years removed from that brief and lonely period in my life where I tried to check out a bunch of movies with my favorite Friday the 13th women in them (April Fool’s Day, Gas Pump Girls, Sweet Sixteen, etc.). So I was surprised to see the lovely Dana Kimmell playing the very non-lovely Chuck Norris’s daughter here.
And with Black Emanuelle herself, Laura Gemser here, I think it’s safe to say I love the supporting cast.
I also really enjoy the western feel of this movie, aided by a very spaghetti western-sounding score by Francesco de Masi.
As for the action, it’s a bit hit or miss. Some of it is good. The movie starts strong, and then gets kind of boring for a while, but it comes back in a big way after Chuck Norris drives a truck out from an underground burial.
I enjoyed the movie overall. It was nearly something special, but it’s definitely a passable action movie.
