Movie Review: Phoenix the Warrior (1988)

Phoenix the Warrior is also known as She-Wolves of the Wasteland, which is a far better and more descriptive title. No, they’re not werewolves, but this is a movie about women fighting in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, for the opportunity to be with the last man remaining, in order to repopulate.

It’s a surprisingly good premise, actually, but the movie doesn’t do much with it. The execution is poor, and the movie really can’t get over its lack of budget.

The action scenes border on embarrassing, and there’s only so far the gratuitous nudity can go.
