Movie Review: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007)

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. What could have been a great franchise is reverted to a complete farce by the time of the second sequel. You’ve got Johnny Depp running around being stupid in some kind of purgatory, making this like my very own private hell.

You’ve got Keira Knightley just not giving a shit, hamming it up beyond belief.

I guess Orlando Bloom is somewhere in the movie. He’s completely lost amidst all the nonsense. Remember when he was the emotional center to the story? Those were the days.

The movie is bigger, longer, and considerably dumber than the others. I hate it a bit less than the second, if only because the second one already went about ruining many aspects of the first one. It’s sort of like a “you can’t really get worse from here” kind of thing. Plus Keith Richards is a little bit of fun.

But it’s most certainly bad.
