Movie Review: Spooks Run Wild (1941)

Well, this movie’s a little different. I guess in the ’30s and ’40s the East Side Kids made a bunch of movies, and at some point, somebody decided to throw them into a Bela Lugosi horror movie.
The result is an incredibly uneven horror comedy, with more than its share of jokes that fall flat, in part due to over-the-top comedic performances. I guess when he wasn’t doing Universal Monster movies, Bela Lugosi was making a lot of utter shit.
