I wouldn’t think a movie with a premise like this could be this boring. It’s an exploitation film starring Pam Grier and Margaret Markov as two women sold into slavery to fight as gladiators.
Seems promising, right? And it is a movie that does a decent job in recreating Ancient Rome on what I’m sure was a very small budget. Obviously I’m not expecting Ridley Scott level of production values here.
But despite looking reasonably impressive, the movie just falls flat in so many ways. It’s dull, features a bad score, and bland characters.
