Movie Review: The Crescent Moon Clown (2018)

This is the second in the series that doesn’t feature Nigel Bach’s Tom Riley as the main character, and this is the second movie in the series that I’d consider truly bad. This isn’t a coincidence.

You see, he eventually does show up, and then his awkward performance truly elevates the movie.

But this only works for a little bit, because the movie gets pretty embarrassing soon enough. Sure, the movie’s aiming for comedy (I hope), but we actually used to have something pretty good in some kind of subtle found footage horror. With the series going on for as long as it has (or at least with as many entries, as they’re all coming out within a few years), it’s disappointing to see that gone.
