Movie Review: The Enforcer (1976)

The buddy cop genre hadn’t yet been established, but here we were in 1976, getting one of the best examples.

It’s a Dirty Harry sequel, and you can imagine how natural pairing the misogynistic Harry Callahan with a woman partner would work out. It’s quite entertaining, and quite funny.

Tyne Daly plays Inspector Kate Moore, who of course Callahan thinks shouldn’t be an inspector.

The story isn’t anything special, but the pairing of these two characters — with good performances from Eastwood and Daly — makes it work, and I think makes it the best sequel in the series.
