Movie Review: The Last Resort (2009)

This starts out kind of like a female Hangover movie with some women celebrating a bachelorette party in Mexico, before it devolves into underwhelming horror. It was somewhat pleasant early on, but even then not particularly good. The acting by most of the women was atrocious. America Olivo — who ends up being the only one not lost later in the movie, and thus trying to find her friends — is the only one who’s not embarrassing herself.

I dare say the incredibly beautiful Olivo might be the only reason to watch this movie. Because like I said, when we get to horror, it’s bad and uninteresting. And it takes a long time to get there, too. It’s just not very entertaining.
