Movie Review: The Loves of Hercules (1960)

The Loves of Hercules is a Hercules movie that spends an awful lot of time on the character of Queen Deianira, mainly because she’s played by the beautiful Jayne Mansfield, the movie’s biggest star.

Hercules is played by 1955’s Mr. Universe and Mansfield’s real-life husband, Mickey Hargitay, and shockingly the two leads don’t have much chemistry.

There is some fun monster stuff, but that’s really all this movie has going for it. The hydra is pretty neat, but why is there a sasquatch in this movie?
