Movie Review: The Return of Swamp Thing (1989)

This movie’s really very bad, but it’s also a very entertaining B-movie. I don’t remember much of the Wes Craven original movie because it just didn’t leave much of an impression on me, but I’m certain it wasn’t this goofy.

I also know nothing of this character in the comics, but considering Alan Moore was involved, but this movie does more to feel like a comic book than nearly any movie I’ve ever seen.

It is genuinely funny in parts, but most of the time, it’s just pure enjoyable camp. But it’s so dumb and so damn fun that I found myself very much enjoying it.

I feel like I have to point out that it has one of my all-time favorite movie crushes in it: Monique Gabrielle.
