Movie Review: Trick or Treat (1986)

Trick or Treat is a fun little rock & roll horror movie. It’s one of the most ’80s things ever, but that’s part of the movie’s charms. The movie’s surprisingly authentic in its portrayal of a loser metalhead, and this is where the first half of the movie is a lot stronger.

There are some creepy moments and a relatively interesting — if simple — story.

The second half goes off the rails a bit. We get some fun horror makeup and the occasional cool creature, but for the most part, the second half is uninspired and kind of random.

Still, the movie’s pretty enjoyable.
