Movie Review: Turkey Shoot (1982)

--

It’s The Running Man meets The Most Dangerous Game. It stars a bunch of people I’ve never seen and the beautiful Olivia Hussey, who’s best known for her performance in 1968’s Romeo and Juliet, but will be remembered by horror fans as the lead role in Black Christmas.

She gives a strange performance here. She’s doing that classical British thing which makes it sound like she belongs in a Shakespeare play, but she’s just in this weird Ozploitation schlock. It doesn’t fit with the movie at all, and she’s not really all that great in it anyway.

The movie isn’t particularly memorable or good. Its dystopian setting seems very underdeveloped, and the best thing this movie does is merely hint at good ideas.

Rating: 3/10
