Movie Review: Vampire Circus (1972)

I didn’t know much about this movie before I saw it. I didn’t expect there to actually be a vampire circus, but lo and behold — the plot is in the title!

This movie is an incredibly enjoyable 87 minutes of goofiness. While Hammer productions usually impress me with their casting — either due to talent or beauty — they don’t quite nail that here. Nor do they nail the atmosphere of the earlire Hammer classics.

But this was ’70s Hammer, which was a bit schlockier. Still classy in a way, but with beheadings and a good amount of blood. It’s a fun time nonetheless.
