Movie Review: Zombie (1979)

Zombie aka Zombi 2 aka Zombie Flesh Eaters is remembered as a classic of Italian horror, and is one of Lucio Fulci’s more memorable films. It’ s as incomprehensible as you might expect from lesser Italian horror, but its makeup effects and gore are top-notch.

It’s definitely entertaining, but it certainly doesn’t have any compelling characters or performances.

It’s a lot slower moving than you might expect from this kind of movie, but if you’re not glued to your seat once a zombie fights a shark, then I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s admittedly a sequence that’s more fun in concept than in execution, but it’s still good fun.
